You can buy some very pretty stem/flower centres from the craft store, probably from the florist too. These are all great and your free to use those instead of what I've done here. But I find these a little restrictive. I had a look around my local craft store and found that, while these cute little stems are affordable, they are somewhat obsolete. One pack contains 5 stems, measuring about 5cm, and costs around $3.99 - $4.99. That's affordable and handy, but hang on a minute. I can buy a pack of 20 pipecleners for that, or a 2m length of wire. I could make my own. Not only is this cheaper, allowing for a greater output, but it also allows for greater diversity. I could make super long stem - for super large flowers, or teeny tiny stems - for itty bitty flowers. Now the possibilities are endless.

If you have trouble getting the florist tape to properly secure the tissue paper in place, get out the hot glue gun and glue the tissue paper in place, then wrap in florist tape
