What better way to celebrate the witching hour than with Magic Slice! Magic slice is a new discovery of mine. I had NEVER heard of magic slice until a few weeks ago. It is super yummy and I cant believe I have lived so long without it.
I have split the recipe into two formats.
Directly below is a quick write up - ingredients and method, for quick reference. It is particularly annoying having to scroll down every time you need the next step, I'm always sticky with chocolate or sugar so then the laptop ends up sticky. Have it all in one go. You can save the picture to refer back to later.
Below that the entire method have been photographed step by step. Some times it is easier to see exactly what comes next. Personally I like to know what I'm cooking. Recipes without pictures are a particular pet hate of mine.
Ingredients
- 75g butter
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chocolate
- 1 cup dried fruit (I have used cranberries but any fruit works)
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 400g condensed milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup chocolate
- Chocolate biscuits to decorate
Method
Preheat oven to 180c
To make the icing combine sugar, milk, and butter and bring to the boil in a saucepan, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and whisk in chocolate until cool and thickened.
Pour icing onto cooled slice and refrigerate until set.
