DIY Waste Bag Carrier
Inspired by my Speagle puppy Mozart.
Usually when I walk Mozart I have his waste carrier (the standard bone plastic barrel) clipped to his lead, but I started to notice that it clacked against his lead and this annoyed Mozart. Alot. He kept turning around to glare at the offending item everytime it made a racket. It's hard to lead train dog who is nervus of his clacking lead. Not being able to find a quieter version in stores I made my own from fabric.
This carrier isn't only quieter then the pastic bone it also has the added advantage of being so very adaptable to other modes of walk paraphernalia. It can be clipped onto any lead, collar, bag, belt etc. Which is a plus because I found the standard plastic version not only noisy but difficult to clip onto Mozarts retractable lead.

Sewing
Front and back pics shown above.
Trim corners, turn through to good side and give the strap a good press.
Long starp pictured on the left and short straps to the right.
*Fold body piece so the keyhole faces up when the two zip ends meet. Mark the fold lines (shown with pins above) and pin and sew strap pieces to the middle section of the body piece.
Then pin the secong short strap piece just below this. (see how both pieces stay inside the pin markings)

I sewed the other side in the same way.
If you want to add a little tab, so an extra clip can be added to the side, just slide this into the bag along the side and pin ino place.
I find it's easier to pull the strap out the keyhole. Lets everything lie flat.
I like to hammer on a plank of wood so as not to damage any table tops.
Place the flat round over the spikes on the other side of the strap and hammer until secure using tool .
