Double Choc Chip Banana Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter (sofetened)*
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup banana (mashed) - about 2-3 bananas
- 1 tsp vanila
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup choc chips
* a quick way to soften butter without heating it in the microwave is to fill a glass with boiling water, empty out the water, place the glass upside down over a stick of butter. The butter should soften but not melt, as it does in the microwave.
Method
Mix together flour,cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
Start by adding a third of the flour mixture, then half the milk, then a third of the flour mixture, then the remaining half of the milk, then finish off with the last third of the flour mixture.
Stir in the chocolate chips (I've actually gone with smashed Easter eggs rather than choc chips)
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until when a skewer inserted comes out clean. Set oven to bake not fan bake.
