You Will Need
- Food colouring
- Zip-lock bag
- Old wax/candle + wick
- Tin can
- Saucepan - with 1/2 cup water.
Place a splash of water, a few drops food colouring, and eggshell into a zip lock bag. Seal bag and shake gently, covering the eggshell in dye. Place on a wire rack to dry.
Place tin can in a saucepan of water (you only need a very small amount- 1/2 cup or so)
Heat over medium heat.
Wait until Wax melts.
Place a wick into each eggshell. I place a dab of hotglue in the bottom of the shell. This helps keep the wick in place.
Pour over hot wax and leave to cool.
Keeping the Wick in Place
Or push a skewer into the eggcarton and tape the top of the wick to the skewer. (as seen in the photo on the right)
