A Framed Pinboard - Part One
Today is a flat framed pinboard. (modeled by my cat Figwit)
You Will Need
Cardboard
Fabric 1 - 1.5 meters
Masking tape
Scissors
Pen
Ruler
Staples
A Frame
Paint (optional)
Ribbon 3 meters
Flat head pins
Method
One
Some pinboards come with frames around, if you wish you can remove the frame and paint it.
Two
Three
Fold the ends of the fabric over the cardboard and secure in place using masking tape.
Four
Cut out the ribbon, adding a 3cm allowance at each end.
When you have cut out enough strips of ribbon arrange them diagonally along the face of the pinboard creating a diamond pattern.
When satisfied place a flat head pin in the cross section where ribbons cross.
Turn the board over and staple the ends of the ribbon down at the back.
You can use different widths and colours of ribbon if you like.
Five
Use making tape to keep it in place if need be.
If the frame is the wrong colour paint it.
