Easter Jars
Easter egg manufactures do not like change. I've come to this decision after year after year of giving and receiving the same Easter gifts. One year everyone in the family ended up with the same Easter box.
Something different would be nice. Something equally cheap would be even better, why does a hollow egg of chocolate, made last year, cost so much?
Here we have a little Easter gift idea. Using a cheap multipack of little Easter goodies help gift to multiple people on a minimal budget. I was able to make about six Easter gifts for around ten dollars.
You Will Need:
- Multipack of lillte chocolate bunnies 0r chicks
- Multipack of sugar coated chocolate eggs
- Multipack of mini sugar coated chocolate eggs
- 1 pack of chocolate biscuits/Oreos
- Ribbon
Start With The Soil
Place chocolate biscuits in a bag, crush with a rolling pin. easy.
Buy a big bag. Eat some. Crush some. Happy times.
Layer it up
You could forgo the soil, but if you do make sure to pack the bottom of the jar with eggs as they will roll and lose formation during transportation, the soil helps the keep everything where you place it.
Wrap it
If you have a jar that has a lid with a food logo on it and you want to cover this you could spray paint the lid, or cover with a round of fabric, tied with elastic
Keeping Costs Down
I keep all glass jam and sauce jars, keeping them for occasions like this.
I keep bits of ribbon that come tied around presents, stuck to gift packs and tied around flowers, etc. No need to buy ribbon. Keeping and reusing what you can leads to big savings down the line.
